AKARI, LLC

Akari is a joint venture between DNP and AlphaMicron Inc. (AMI), established in 2018 to develop and commercialize innovative Liquid Crystal Light Control Films (LCF).

Our journey began in 2016 with a shared vision between DNP and AlphaMicron to bring this transformative technology to a wider audience.

AlphaMicron, a leader in high-tech GHLC applications, contributes its cutting-edge research and development expertise.

DNP, with its renowned precision coating technologies and extensive global network, leverages its strengths to bring these advanced LCF solutions to market.

Akari is dedicated to realizing this shared vision by developing and delivering high-quality LCF solutions that enhance everyday life.

LCF is a Gust Host Liquid Crystal (GHLC) system that enables switchable dimming for various applications. The system is a Liquid Crystal material sandwiched between plastic films. AKARI specializes in the wholesaling of LCF by collaborating with OEMs and different manufactures to integrate the LCF into their system.
